This error occurs because Yahoo cannot verify that the email arrived from a legitimate sender. To avoid such situations Yahoo recommends using the following technologies:

  • SPF (Sender Policy Framework)
  • DKIM (Domain-Keys Identified Mail)
  • DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance)
