Note: Exchange ActiveSync does not support the corporate calendar or email applications for Motorola Droid, Motorola Droid 2 and Droid X. This is not possible because the phones mentioned above use a special application that does not follow Exchange ActiSync standards.

Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync is available as an add-on for SmarterMail. Unlike other synchronization methods, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync uses direct push technology to synchronize real-time emails, calendar, contacts, tasks, notes and folders. Once you have activated the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync add-on and activated these features for a SmarteMail email account, you need to configure your Android device.

We recommend that you use the following procedure for configuration:

  1. On your Android device, navigate to Settings
  2. Click on Accounts & Sync
  3. Click Add Account
  4. Click Corporate
  5. Enter your email address and password, then click Next
  6. In the Domain \ Username field, enter the username and domain using the format \[email protected]
  7. Your password should be filled in automatically. If it is not self-completed, it must be entered manually.
  8. In the Server field, enter an URL to the webmail interface https://mail.2mwin-dns.com
  9. Make sure you have the SSL option checked
  10. Click the Next button to configure your personal preferences and synchronized data volume
  11. Click the Next button again, and configure your name as well as the connection name and then click Done button

Your Android device is now set to synchronize data using Exchange ActiveSync.
