Each domain has its own DNS area containing information that helps your domain work properly in the Internet.

A DNS area may contain the following types of records:

  • NS - Specifies which nameservers are associated with your domain
  • A - Specifies the IP addresses corresponding to its domain and subdomains
  • MX - Specifies where your email will arrive on your domain
  • CNAME - Specifies an alias for your domain.
  • SPF - (Sender Policy Framework) a form of validation of incoming emails from a domain
