In this tutorial, we will review the steps on how to configure the mail service of your concrete5 website with SMTP.
 
To configure SMTP in concrete5, you will need to follow the next steps.

  1. Create an email account or make sure the login data for an existing email account is valid (you can test the email account / password by logging in to webmail)
  2. Log in to the concrete5 management panel
  3. Go to Dashboard and click on System & Settings
  4. Locate the Email section and click on the SMTP Method
  5. Fill in the data: - at the mail server: mail.domainname.com
    - at username - full email address
    - email account password,
    - at encryption select none and at port use 25 or 26
  6. Click Save to save the settings
  7. Test the functionality
