WordPress is the most popular open source content management system (CMS). WordPress can be installed by using the cPanel Softaculous Apps Installer for free. 

Install WordPress through Softaculous

  1. Log into cPanel
  2. Click on the Softaculous icon, then WordPress
  3. Fill in the WordPress installation details:

    • Choose Domain - From the drop-down menu select the domain name you want to install your WordPress on
    • In Directory - Fill in only if you want WordPress to be installed in a subdirectory (https://www.yourdomain.com/folder )
    • Admin Username - Enter a username for your WordPress dashboard login.
    • Admin Password - Enter the password for the above username
    • Admin email - Make sure you enter a valid email here
If you intend to install WordPress to a subdomain, make sure that you created the subdomain in cPanel before starting the WordPress installation process.
