To use an SSL certificate on your WordPress site please follow the steps below:

  • log in to WordPress as an administrator
  • access Settings >> General and in the WordPress Address field replace http with https
  • Save. Site visitors will be able to access the site both with and without SSL. If you want to redirect all traffic to https, you can use .htaccess

To remove insecure items you can use the WordPress - SSL Insecure Content Fixer plugin
