Magento cron jobs will occasionally freeze or crash. You may notice the cron job has failed to run at its designated time or times, or you may receive notification of a cron job failing to run when you log in as an administrator.

  1. Log in to your account using the SSH terminal
  2. Run the following command:
ps ufx | grep cron

3. The above command returns the list of cron jobs running on your server
4. To stop a cron job, run the kill -9 PID command (replace PID with the cron ID that is locked)
