R1soft CDP backup allows complete server backup and bare metal restoration.

If you performed a kernel upgrade on your server you may receive the following error while running the backup.:

An exception occurred during the request. The replication driver was not detected (detail: An error occurred while loading the hcpdriver module, please check your system logs; Please run “r1soft-setup –get-module ” on your Agent to install one.

Run the following command to check whether the R1Soft kernel module is active:

lsmod | grep hcp

If the above command returns no value, it means that hcp driver is not installed on your server.

Follow the steps described below:

- Check the kernel version:

uname -r

- Check kernel-devel si kernel-headers packages. They should match the installed kernel version.

rpm -qa | grep kernel

- Install the appropriate version (if it is not installed) then run the following command:

r1soft-setup --get-module
r1soft-setup --get-module --no-binary

- Restart agent CDP:
