EPEL stands for Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux.

To install EPEL repo in CentOS and RHEL 7, we recommend following the steps below:

- Log on to the server through the SSH console as root or sudo user.

- Run the following command:

# sudo yum install epel-release

- After executing the command, the EPEL repo will be installed and configured. Press the y key to complete the installation.
