To use the SSL protocol in PrestaShop, we recommend that you follow the steps below:
- Log in to the PrestaShop administration panel using the administration data.
- In the menu on the left, click on Preferences, then click on General.
- Next to Enable SSL, click Please click here to check if your shop supports HTTPS. If the SSL test is performed successfully, the Enable SSL field with the YES and NO options will be displayed and the URL in the browser will be displayed with https://. Alternatively, if you receive an error message or other type of message after the test, it means that your site does not have an SSL certificate installed or is not configured correctly.
- To enable SSL to log in to the client account next to Enable SSL, click YES.
- To activate the SSL certificate on all pages of the site, next to Enable SSL on all pages, click YES.
- Click Save
- After activating the SSL certificate you can receive browser notifications for unsafe content, this happens if certain resources are loaded using the http:// protocol instead https://
Make sure all elements of your site use the https:// protocol.
