Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync uses push email technology to synchronize emails, calendars and contacts with your device, in real time.

Although Blackberry does not support native synchronization with Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, it is still possible through an application produced by a third party: AstraSync.

To set up AstraSync on BlackBerry you must follow the next steps:

Open the BlackBerry browser
2. Go to www.astrasync.com/dwl and log in
3. Choose over-the-air download, the installation option and click Download
4. Press Yes to the security alert
5. Wait for AstraSync to download and install
6. Press Run to run AstraSync for the first time
7. Press Yes to change the data and alert the security
8. To avoid duplicating information, switch to Off desktop synchronization in the BlackBerry Desktop Manager
9. If you have content protection enabled exit AstraSync, turn it Off and restart AstraSync in the Downloads folder
10. Accept the terms of the license
11. AstraSync will test the connection and choose the best connection method. You will be asked for acceptance to allow network connection.
12. Press Next after automatically selecting the connection type

  • in the Email Address field, enter the complete email address - eg. [email protected]
