Modifying/creating the nameservers for a .ro domain can only be carried out by the holder of the right of use over the .ro domain or by the administrative or technical contact persons.

  1. Go to www.rotld.ro
  2. Go to section .ro Domains > Domain management > Online Administration
  3. Fill in the .ro domain name you want to transfer (without the www prefix)
  4. Enter your domain administration password (if you do not know it, you can generate a new password using the "Password Recovery" option)
  5. Fill in the code from the image next to the modification form
  6. Press the "Continue" button
  7. Click on the "Nameservers" menu
  8. Click on "Create/Modify/Delete nameserver on the parent domain"
  9. Enter the prefix (eg. ns1) in the "Server Name" field and the IP that was communicated to you by the Technical Department in the "Server IP Address" field
  10. Save and verify the email account that is listed on whois to retrieve the change authentication code
  11. Enter the code in the ROTLD form
  12. Repeat the procedure for each nameserver you want to create
  13. After you complete the procedure for all the nameservers associate the new nameservers to your domain (in the Nameservers menu)
