Before performing any upgrade/update, we recommend that you make a complete backup of your WordPress site, both the files and the database. This stage is very important!
The application of the update can be done in several ways:
- using the update function included in WordPress
- using the update function included in Softaculous
- manually, by downloading the archive from the manufacturer's website and uploading the files to the server using an FTP client.
It is important to note that some plugins may not be compatible with the new WordPress version installed. In this situation you will either have to disable / uninstall them, or upgrade them to newer versions (if any).
