DirectAdmin offers a function that allows users to reset their passwords but this feature is disabled by default.
lost_password=0When the function is activated a user can click on the "Lost Password?" link from the login page, and DirectAdmin will email them a link with a confirmation code. The link expires automatically after two hours if it is not accessed.
- Enabling password reset emails via DirectAdmin
Log in as an admin. Go to "Administrator Settings", click on the "Security Settings" tab. Then select the "Enable Automatic Lost Password Recovery" option.

Log in to the SSH console as root user and run the following command:
/usr/local/directadmin/directadmin set lost_password 1 restart
